These are very rare $1 Nickel Half Rolls. They are stamped Federal Reserve Bank Denver. A quick internet search showed this bank dates back from the early 1900's. The Federal Reserve Bank of Denver (Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Denver Branch) is one of twelve regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, make up the United States' central bank. In addition to participation in the formulation of monetary policy, each Reserve Bank supervises member banks and bank holding companies, provides financial services to depository institutions and the U.S. government, and monitors economic conditions in its District. The branch which is in Denver opened on January 14, 1918 at 17th Street before moving in 1968 to 16th Street Mall. The branch also houses a 7,000 sqft money museum!

These rolls are light brown in color with some of them being faded from storage. The ends are still tightly sealed. The contents of the rolls we have opened thus far have shown teens, twenties and thirties buffalo nickels. We would not be surprised if Liberty V or Shield Nickels were found in some of the rolls. You will receive 1x roll from the lot shown.
